Prototyping with cast iron

Some solutions require a prototype or a special product, with cast iron products this can be realized by using wooden moulds.

When low quantities of special designed cast iron products are needed, it can be considered to use wooden moulds. By means of wooden moulds, the fixed costs are kept low, and an investment in aluminium or steel moulds can be saved. Allthough the production method with wooden moulds is slightly less accurate then the normal serial production method, it can certainly be worth your consideration.
