Special Engineered Cones for J-Tubes.

Due to present and expected problems with the cables at the Bellmouth section in a large Offshore wind farm the cables, where not properly protected or buried.

As the cables came to surface, they started moving by tides and waves.
The cable was damaged due to its movement against the corroded bellmouth (as shown in the picture).

This resulted in a few cases of total cable damage.
As shown in the picture, the cable is in a sandy environment, which has a negative effect on the cable during movements.  A simple split-cone has been engineered and manufactured to guide the cable into a central position again.
As the cone has been welded, and has been put in line with other materials an anode has been placed for corrosion protection.

The cone has an adaptor for a Pro-Pipe connection for further cable protection and to create a bend restricted environment.
