When submarine cable are installed on the seabed (where trenching is not possible) or have surfaced to the seabed, they will be influenced by a lot of external factors, one of them is sea current.

The document calculates the effect of sea-currents to submarine cables
on the seabed. The force caused by the sea current is called “drag force”.
This drag-force will be calculated on the cable and also on the cable that
is protected with Pro-CPS cable protectors.
